What do you think of my floorplan idea? The new parts are in bold. The big [?] is either a storage closet, or a stacked washer/dryer.
If you like, you can make your own version of a new floorplan. The easy way to do that is open this blank one, which also has lables for a few things with Paint (in Windows, Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint. For Mac is it still called Paintbrush?) For those vector graphics artists out there, I'm happy to share my Inkscape *.svg files by email. (Me likey free Inkscape.)

Lance, you may be just the one to offer your Dad an objective insight into his current house plan. I found an profoundly interesting fellow who has his own website devoted to the basics of house plan principles. The site is 'BeforeThe Architect.com' and it IS just that. His entire tome is available online and I have read it. It is full of wit,wisdom, insight, and enlightened matters of what-works-and-why. Check him out. I like the idea that there should be more views of the lake from widows on that side of the house... Beekeroo

Where does a washing machine go? The "?" area? Or are you gona go to "KOIN-RANDORI (coin laundry-not English but Engrish!), a shop which has washing machines work when you put coins into (is that right?)" ?
Anyway the cat is really cute!! How did he survive when you were away in Christmas??

Yukie: We don't have any coin laundry near our house! Only trees, apples, and dog poop. So we need a laundry machine inside. In the best case, we will put laundry inside the 2F. I'll post a floorplan of the second floor soon.
